yeah looks like the pump on the left is the later adjustable pulley style, pump on the right is mid style where the pump adjusts in the bracket.  you just need to use the bracket that matches the pump, and you should be on your merry way

Might want to confirm this but I believe the 1.6td bracket is the same as the one you're looking for.

1.6 and 1.9 brackets are quite different.

Doesn't the older style aaz pump use the same bracket as the 1.6 though? I know the newer style that adjusts timing through the pulley is different but I was under the impression the older style was the same?

Or does the older aaz pump have a larger snout as well? If the only difference is the snout diameter he could modify it to work like I did with my aaz pump.

Actually I'm wrong the way the mount attaches to the block is completely different in 1.6 vs 1.9l blocks.

As I mentioned before the 1.6 and 1.9 brackets are quite different.  The 1.6 brackets are 2-piece stamped steel.  One piece runs along the end of the block.  With the earlier metal cover, that piece incorporates the passenger side engine mount.  With the later plastic covers, it incorporates the timing cover backing plate.  The other piece bolts to the first pump bracket piece and to the block with two bolts behind the pump.  The AAZ brackets (both of them) are not stamped steel and instead are a single cast piece that bolts only to the block using three bolts.
