MkI diesel hoarder starter kit
« on: December 05, 2015, 11:41:06 pm »
The time has come to clean out my garage, focus on my family and business and give up my dream for the time being of building a fun/race/diesel car. We have a 2015 TDI Golf ScandalWagen and I'm looking at 2016 Chevy Colorado when the 2.8L Duramax becomes available so my love for oil burners partially inspired by this site will live on. This brings my to the objective of this thread:

For Sale:
1.6D mechanical head motor, with transmission-I believe it's an FF
Giles built super TD pump-I believe I still have the paperwork on the build
Spare TD head, mech lifter
G60 Valve cover
G60 Intake manifold
Bahnbrenner manifold adaptor
Neuspeed tower brace
Eurosport four-point lower brace
Griffin radiator scirocco fitment
Flexalite fan mounted on radiator
Momo corso steering wheel w/adaptor, Wolfsburg horn button
Turbo manifold
Core turbo sourced from a BMW 524td, big
2-3 small intercoolers
Grease works viton hose kit

Those are the highlights, also to be included:
Mudflaps
swaybars
poly suspension bushings
lowering springs?
IC piping
seats
trim bits
boxes of various parts, mostly MkI, perhaps some E30, Audi 4k and 5k bits as well
new parts-sensors, gaskets, bushings, little things
M90 supercharger and associated bits from a thunderbird
other things which I can't remember

I'd like to unload it all in one go for $1000 but can also probably sell some of the things for reasonable offers.

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Thank you

do you think it would all fit into a honda civic?

I'm assuming it's a hatchback?

I think it's doable aside from a pair of seats. The other items I have could be reorganized/packed/tucked into a civic. I have a truck and could deliver within a couple or few hundred miles.

It was running when pulled a little over a year ago. The motor was rebuilt and probably has 20K miles on it. That said it rarely ran great even after the rebuild and always consumed or dripped a little oil. I don't think the shop that did the rebuild was great and would probably look it over a bit before installing it.

I can deliver the stuff to Lakeport. I need to make a couple trips to the north coast over the next few weeks and could deliver on my way.

so you think the motor needs to be broken down because of internals?  or could the pump/injectors be off?

The timing/injectors may be the problem absolutely. I also had issues with air in the fuel line though that was probably resolved when I got rid of the chassis right? It always started just never ran perfectly for me. I always had other people doing the pump timing.

Also included:
TD oil pan
Front spoiler with fog lamps
Set of new brake rotors, perhaps some drums
Caddy tail light surrounds

Correction the MOMO wheel is a prototipo.

Also please feel free to make offers or ask questions about individual parts as I'm not getting very far selling the package deal.

Most of the stuff is gone, I have a turbo exhaust manifold, non-a/c alternator, KYB rear struts for caddy, not much else. I'll look at the boxes and update further.
