Arp studs

My studs arrived today. Question? How perfect should the threads be? First thing I did was test fit the nuts on the studs. 7 of them were perfect 2 were pretty tight and 1 was chunky feeling (slight resistance in a few places). I've been threading a nut back and forth trying to clean the threads. I got the chunky one feeling smooth and the tight ones feeling chunky. Is this ok? I was under the impression that the threads would be perfect for a $200+ set of studs. Is the chunky feeling enough to throw off the precision of the torque? Am I being too anal? I'd rather not have to wait another week or 2 it would take to exchange these in the mail. Just wanted some confirmation as this is my first head gasket job...

i would expect them to all be pretty consistent, you should call arp and see what they say, their customer service is really good and it doesn't take much for them to send you a new stud or 2
