...in good condition with no shaft play.

Just trying to help...  those two conditions are mutually exclusive.  Brand new they have fairly noticeable radial shaft play.  The only journal bearing turbos that don't have fairly noticeable radial shaft play are ones that have coked up bearings from being run hard and put away hot.

I've got one. I didn't notice much if any play. I've never tried to use it but it looks like it's in recent shape. That being said it needs the waste gate actuator diaphragm replaced. Looking to get $100 and I can throw in the diaphragm.

I'm looking for a new turbo mainly because mine seems to be hemorrhaging oil. I have replaced the valve cover and oil pan gasket. The motor is still leaking oil like crazy and the underbody is dripping wet. I have access to a lift and can see oil all over the bottom of the turbo and coming out of the wastegate. Also when I remove the intake hose from the turbo there is a puddle of oil. The turbo still boosts but i believe the seals have gone bad.

Is it turbo or way too much blow by?

Sorry really shouldn't jam up the FS as it is FS only, but you should know before buying something you don't need

I will be looking into blow by issues soon. Whenever I get a spare moment.
