MTDI For Datsun 720

I am doing a TDI swap for a friend. He is a diesel nut has a collection of nothing but diesel vehicles. He has a Quantum 1.6 TD and a 1.6 TD swapped Caddy I built for him last summer, along with a 24v Cummins truck. Anyways the newest project is his Datsun 720 King Cab. This was originally a 2.2 Nissan diesel NA. He wanted more power and looked into turboing that motor and then did a 180 and decided to swap a TDI into it. So where we are at now, he has an AHU, Kennedy adapter and a Toyota 5 speed transmission. We talked for a bit and decided MTDI would meet his needs best. He also wants to turn up the power a little bit over stock, with the stock turbo.
So, who can sell me a ready to go MTDI pump and all the related components? Ideally I would like a one stop shop that could get me everything as the owner will be buying and I want to make it simple for him.
What is a reasonable power goal on the stock turbo? What Nozzels? I will be installing an intercooler and deleting EGR.
Cheers, Brandon

Lots of us have had good success with the Land Rover 300TDI pumps. They do not need any significant modifications and work perfectly with the VW injectors. The pump mounting bracket needs a little modification and the delivery valves on the pump need to be swapped with VW sized ones (or you need to bend the injector lines to fit) but that's it. No voodoo needed.

Is there a good source for pumps other than Ebay UK? I have done a lot of reading on the subject, at this point I am mostly just concerned with getting a good pump that is going to be reliable. The last thing I need is this guy blowing my phone up with problems.

I bought mine from British Atlantic, a LR parts vendor. Came with a warranty and everything.

That's actually a stock VW LT28 pump, not Cummins.

So who should I buy from? I just want this to be a pain free experience that results in a good running MTDI engine that won't be a nightmare to me to service in the future.

The Advanced Automation pump is good, the LR300 pumps are good, Karl at GoWesty can build you one, Dieselmeken can build you one - any of those options will yield a solid reliable pump.
It really comes down more to your budget and the cost + shipping from each of those sources, plus their availability. When I bought mine Karl was in the middle of moving to a new shop and Dieselmeken was on vacation. I paid a fair price for a Bosch rebuilt LR300 pump that came with a warranty and has worked perfectly for me.
Any of the above options is selling you a Bosch pump built out of Bosch parts; they will be just as reliable as any other Bosch pump. Both Karl and Advanced Automation are using 12mm pump heads which are better for peak power but will not be as rev happy while the LR300 pump uses an 11mm head. Stock TDI used a 10mm pump so any of them are an upgrade. If you plan to spin at high revs a lot and want a slightly smoother running engine I'd go with the LR300 pump myself, but any of them will work fine.

The plan is just nozzels and take power to a reasonable level for the stoke AHU turbo... and then pending EGT's maybe a turbo upgrade down the road. Either way the end goal is a high level of reliability. The owner of the truck enjoys random 1000+ mile road trips hahaha.
I appreciate the advice.
