Want to put that finishing touch on your car, to meet the Vortex style?
Then you need smoked tails.
Now, there's other DIYs here that talk about applying sprays to your tails, and there's replacement tails that various vendors here sell to give you that straight-from-the-factory smoked look. However, I've found a way to smoke your tails, and it's cheap and easy.
The first step is removing your engine. Yes, your engine. That VR6 or Northstar swap that you spent a few grand on? Chuck it. You don't need it.
Then, you'll have to find a 1588 cc compression ignition engine to install in your vehicle. Make sure that this one is of the ME engine code. You DON'T want MF, as it won't give you quite as satisfactory results.
Install that engine.
Also, install a dual exhaust. This is a very important part.
And, you can't wash your car - although, if you do, the tails will become smoked again very quickly.

And, my car only has a single exhaust, so here's a comparison between the tails to show how much smoking there is:
Not only will you get smoked tails, but your car will also get 50 miles to the gallon, and even more people will think it's a diesel from the noise.
