Looking for front struts for 92 Jetta 1.6 TD

Anyone have experience with these front struts? I am thinking either Bilstein Touring 22-041142 for $72 or  Sachs 170-795 for $68. I wonder where these are made? Which one is better? How's the price? Can I get them cheaper elsewhere? Your inputs welcome!

The Sachs ones are what the car came with new. The Bilstein Touring ones are basically the same.

What do you want out of your car? Those are both "comfort" rather than performance shocks.

Comfort will do. I don't need to corner at 90 mph.

After having sachs and Bilstein on the same car, I would never buy Sachs again.

Should the springs be replaced with new struts? My springs are original (w 200k miles), not broken and not rusty. What difference will I notice with new springs other than higher ride height?
