VE 37 timing advance
« on: December 09, 2014, 12:11:33 pm »
Had a quick question regarding modifying a ve37 pump. I know a lot of people remove one of the shims in between the timing advance spring. Would it be more effective to install a cap off of an alh? They have much more depth. I am running a gt15 turbo and na static timing. Fuel is turned up a little bit and governer mod turns 5k rpm. I have head studs and a fresh hg. I watch Egts and never go above 1200 for prolonged period. This Is a na 1.6. Thank you for any help.
