ran it for a year like that ,,turbo wheel looked ok,,,no erosion,now i wasnt aimed right at the wheel,,i used a little elbow,that the jet was screwed into,,(the aprox jet hole was about .030-.040 inch) so it was sorta centered in the air stream of the inlet pipe,and i used a capplug witha hole in it topass the hose thru the center,and put that cap plug inthe hole of the stock inlet pipe,where the blow off valve would normally be dumped into,,i was backwoods,i bet some better fittings could be used for sure,i had mine on a shifter button,would hit it wheninailed it,most of the time,,,goin up hills on long trips,if i was pullin like 8 psi to keep steady speed,and ihit it,,icould get out of the throttle,a little,like 5-6 psi,to hold speed,thats tellin me its workin

How many of you guys are running NOS or Cryo on your rigs figuring its a diesel nos is legal to a certain degree and well want cold air use a cryo. As well as I just picked up an intercooler thats 7x20x2" is this gonna be big anuf for cooling the air anuf. Other then that I was thinking of a nos or propane injection system with a water methanol injection to keep detonation in check any one try this yet. Thanx agian James Morrison

any way you look at it, liquid propane could have the same properties as NOS if used correctly. Going from liquid state to gaseous state removes a LOT of heat! (just think about your a/c) less heat means you can put in more fuel

but the fact that propane burns hot doesn't help much, and can lead to detonation with our high compression engines.

with a goog pump mod(governor and advance) and more pressure i think 100hp is possible. :wink:

I read in a post way back in the depths of this board talking about natural gas being used instead of propane has anyone tried this with any good results. Other then that gotta see if I can stuff this bloody intercooler in somwhere that is out of harms way and hopfully not kill it and then see about getting anuf cash for a giles pump. What other performance upgrades are there out there that have not been pointed out in this post yet or have we cover most everything. Thanx for all the help again

heh,maybe im crazy,,but y not use the propane as a cryo setup??yea iknow ,,boom,,,,,,,,,,,nos (naws,thanks f+f,sheesh,losers)would be "gentler" than propane,,being the nos is basically oxygen to a diesel,,,,,,,on the propane cryo,,it would be cheaper than co2 wouldnt it?

?figure out a way to get it away from lots of heat,,,,,maybe thats a little nuts,,,,idunno

maybe for drag racing you could use the propane to 'freeze' the intake charge air? Would need an evaporator, and a ducting system to route boosted air through the evaporator, and some hoses leading the propane through the evaporator. Of course it would be a waste of perfectly flammable propane! Unless of course the evaporator was connected to the intake side to re-circulate the propane into the engine... :twisted:

ok lets scrap the propane/cryo idea some how I see myself getting hurt with that idea. Other then that what else is there has any one ( 935racer) had any thing nice to say about cams any power to speak of. Thanx for your input James Morrison

not tooting my own horn,,but think about how good my watr injection setup atomizes the washer fluid,,no droplets here,,i thought it would be like spraying water ona fan,and slow it down,,but idont hear any difference,,it doesnt hit the wheel directly anyways

Ok I'll have to try this though I thought injecting it through a NOS fumagator nozzle after the inter cooler would be better IMO cause then ya dont have to worry bout that stuff sitting in the ic and hurting it. And does any one know if washer fluid hurts silicone cause if I spend the extra buck I dont want to kill it that quick. Thanx for the input James Morrison

ive seen it leave funny looking corrosion onbrass,,ie,jets,but hose shouldnt be a problem,,i didnt let it rip till iwas around 3k revs anyways
