I agree with getting rid of the general section because it is kind of redundant, I just don't have time to sift through all of the post and put them where they should be. I realize the majority of them could honestly be transferred to the VE pump forum since that is most of what we like on here.

Can't upload an avatar picture.

I can specify a url, but it can't have any spaces, etc, in it. %20 and so forth get stripped out.

I like the new slogan - we should ditch the 'check engine light' image though - it's a silhouette of a carureted V8 in a rear drive configuration...

I don't have the same font, but here's some thoughts:

Bryn

1994 Jetta - AHU M-TDI - Jezebel Jetta
2004 Jetta Wagon - 1.8T - Blitzen

Not the General section, getting rid of the general TDI section.

I guess I like the idea of a new forum, but I don't like that we now have the vortex look...

well, maybe not specifically a v8, and mercedes still used the ring style air cleaner with many of their early diesels, but as a guy who's only diesel is a mk1, I'm with you. there are no icons on my dash, and I'm not sure that i love the check engine light as an icon of vw enthusiasm. if you modify right, the light won't come on.

maybe an injector diagram?

I posed the question on the facebook page about the logo today too, May be where Vanbcguy is coming from on the logo. I have a version with the glowplug light instead of the CEL but myturbodiesel uses the glowplug light on some of their stuff and i didn't want to confuse anyone. It may not matter and i could use it anyway. I like the VE pump idea since we are mainly VE pump diesel guys  but I'm afraid most people wouldn't get it.

If you guys have any good logo ideas throw em at me. you can also email me at [email protected]

Theman53 I ment the general TDI section and not the general section, my bad.

What about model specific forums. I know someone mentioned it perviously. I don't want to go all vortexy and clutter everything up but want to make it easer to navigate and find useful info for everyone.

I am going to be on 'Cars Yeah' sometime soon talking about my vw journey and VWDiesel. I have an interview with him tomorrow. Kind of excited to get the word out a little.

Well if you want no vortexy look *I don't* then maybe sub forums inside a TDI general? I don't know what is possible but I know it is very cluttered to me now and I have no solution for you. :D

Any way you can work on this more? I would really like it to look like it used to and have one for sale section. The colors are still pretty bad and I thought you were going to do something with all this? It would be nice as well to try to see what page we are on as others have stated.

Yea, I have talked to two programmers to try to help me get the colors changed and the page numbering thing fixed as well as make it look a little better. I'm trying to figure out which one will be better. Things have been pretty busy here even with me turning down a lot of work so i can focus on the forum. I hate turning down easy money but I want to spend more time on here working on everything.

What about the troubleshooting and TDI-General forums, do you guys think they should be integrated into the specific TDI/IDI forum that it belongs to to help organize it better?

Is this current theme 'Connect' easier to look at and use than the other one? I didn't get the warm fuzzies from a few of the developers I have talked to so I decided to switch themes for a bit to see if we like this any better. I think i can make the blog match it close enough too. The 'CT' buttons will be changed too if we decide we like this one better.

I don't care this way or that about the theme.  I just like the fact that you can see what page you are one and the forum tree links are at the bottom of the page and the top.
