If we could just get the ads to go away on the comment section would be great.

Agreed.

Sure.

I'll offer a couple more suggestions...

If splitting up the TDI engine section I would think that three categories would be plenty; VE, PD and CR.  Going into more detail than that seems unnecessary.  With those three categories I bet it would still be a few months before there's a post in the CR section.

I would move the add that is at the top of the page.  I would place it to the right of the TDI-IDI logo where it currently says 'simplemachines forum'.  I like to use the navigation links and would prefer the ad less in the way of that.

I'm more than willing to provide a reasonably sized dedicated VPS for this if you're interested.  I've been a rabid fan of vwdiesel for long enough!!

I might take you up on that, but I still have to pay for hosting regardless from my other sites.

What do we think of the new theme? I realize its new and different so it may not be liked that much because of that.

I like it mostly overall but I am going to try to change the neon colors under the user profiles and stuff on it.

PM me and we can talk. A VPS capable of running a bunch of Apache/PHP/MySQL sites can be had for about $10/mo, so if you're paying more than that....

Theme is looking good! :-)

I'd change the check engine light icon to the glow plug icon.  I'm not really a fan of the check engine light in general...   :P

At this point if you view another member's profile, there is a little link that says 'Add to Buddy List'.  I'd really appreciate another link with that one that says 'Add to Ignore List'.  The Ignore list is an awesome feature and making it easier to use will only help the harmony of the forum.

I'll try to get the ignore list figured out soon libby, and try to get the boards condensed.

anyone having server errors trying to get on the forum?

I have got a few, but on my host everything shows its fine. may just be maintenance on their part.

Libby, add folks to the buddy list.  Edit profile, bottom of the list of choices is buddy list.  Add people you don't care to see to that list.  Just like older forum just looks all fancy pants here now.

The Buddy List and the Ignore List are two different lists.  I do not have any use for the Buddy List.  I do use the Ignore List.  I also do know how to currently add people to it.  My comment is that I would like the process of adding people to the ignore list to be easier.  The current process that I use is to copy their user name, click profile on the top right of the screen, then hover on 'Modify Profile' >Buddies/Ignore List select Edit Ignore List, past user name into the field and click Add.  That's a PITA.

Currently if you click on another user's username, it brings up their profile.  On their profile screen, under their username is a link that says [Add To Buddy List].  I want a second button there that says [Add To Ignore List].
