Understand, looking for easy and simple.  Just different layout here and I thought you were missing it.  I agree PITA to add new folks so yeah, make it simple.

Libby I have been looking into the ignore user option and trying to get a solution. So far there isn't an easy one. when SMF switched from 1.x to 2.x the features you want were more or less neutered. I've found a few ignore user mods but aren't compatible with our version of SMF, but I am looking for an alternative for you.

Straightened out the TDI boards too and condensed them.

I upgraded the server today since I got yelled at by my provider twice today and once on sunday for overloading it. I tried to send out a newsletter today and about 10% of ppl got it before the crash.

You can do that yourself.  Click on Profile (top right) then hover on Actions (top left) and click on Delete Account.

Ryan, don't worry about my ignore list request.  It's not a big deal - only if it's easy.

I have two more requests...

First is to have the current page number display differently from the other page numbers.  Currently, when you select a page of a forum or thread, the current page number displays exactly the same as all the other pages.  It's nice to know what page you are currently on when you select another page.

Second is the have a second copy of the navigation bar that has "Home>English Section>General>***Forum Changes***" at the bottom of the page.

Those two changes would make forum navigation a lot better than it currently is.

Yea that may require a different template or someone who knows coding better than I do. But I will add it to the list of stuff to work on. This theme looks better imo, but is a little harder to use than the stock one.

We are on the new server now. I tried to transfer everything over but a few brand new post may have gotten lost in the shuffle.

If you posted something and it is not there, just post it again, thanks.

We are now on Twitter @vwdieselnet

Glad to see it up and running again, my suggestions are as such.

Would it be possible to split up the for sale/wanted threads into Cars For Sale/Wanted and Parts For Sale/Wanted

Glad it's up and running again

A bit late to the party as usual, but I join with the rest in thanking Marc for his years of selfless service. Many thanks indeed. And a big cheers to Ryan for assuming the yoke and carrying the site forward. Bonne chance et meilleurs voeux!

Thanks, Marc, and thanks, Ryan.

I discovered today that there doesn't appear to be any way to tell what page of a thread i am on?

I've had issues posting replies once in a while. I've also noticed that email alerts don't seem to be working yet.

I'll look into the email alert thing later this week. I have noticed I haven't gotten any new member emails even though we have gotten quite a few.

I think model specific forums would be helpful for non diesel specific questions.

Do we want super in depth or just a few hitting the high notes?

I don't like the number of sections. We have 4 for TDI, the TDI general could be gone and questions for the TDI posted in the other 3 sections or general and we could move them if they are not correct. The non vw group diesel could also be posted in general. The parts section is a good idea, but the parts for sale and parts wanted to buy I would rather have in the same section. It is just a preference with me, I don't like having almost 2 pages to scroll down when most cover the same thing. Or could we do a TDI general and put the other TDI sections as a sub section once you click on each one?
