dual outlet manifold

Is there a performance difference between a standard early dual outlet manifold and an AEG Mk4 dual outlet manifold? I know you have to do some modifying to the MK4 manifold but is it worth it? Right now, I have the stock 4 to 1 toilet bowl exhaust manifold with a 2" mandrel bent exhaust system on my 1.6na with Gov mod.

Fwiw, there was a euro dual dp that was made for the toilet bowl manifold. Never really understood that one...

Cause diesel manifold is duel in design vs gasser o2 sensor ones.... So 83 caddy in usa has big $$ cat welded in one, but euro gassers were like euro gti in length, cleared swaybars... One day i am going to build a few

Not all diesels came with a dual ex. manifold.  The diesel toilet bowl is different than the gas toilet bowl.

An 83 VW diesel came with a cat...?

Gas caddy had egr no o2 systems... So gasser 83 usa caddy has duel toilet downpipe off diesel duel toilet manifold... But usa required cat.. Made up silly overpriced downpipe with cat built in... Was nla in 94 when i tried to get one...

So yes... Diesel duel toilet manifold europe has ideal downpipe for... Never offered in usa except 83 with cat built in... On caddies... And 83 caddy in usa 1/2 year... And only a gas item... So rair it is...

Why.... Look at euro gti manifild and downpipe... Unlike us versions had NO flex pipe or section... In 83 thats how they added flex section, increase exhaust volume for the bigger 1.8... The diesel manifold really flows well in  design.. We just lack proper downpipes
