Hi, All.
My apologies if this is covered somewhere else. I tried to use the search, but came up with 18 pages of results with no titles that looked like what I'm looking for.
My pump started leaking the other day between the base and the top cover. Are there gasket kits available or do I have to make my own? The car runs fine, so I don't want to have to rebuild simply 'cause of this.
Thanks,
There is a seal kit available from Bosch fuel injection dealers that has the seal you need and lots more. It's cheap and has other seals/o-rings likely to fail.
You're lucky that that seal can be fairly easily changed w/pump on the motor. I don't have the kit part # but search for "IP seal kit" or something like that. Someone else might chime in.
Failing all else Greaseworks on Oregon sells one (biodiesel proof?) but contains more than you need and is kinda pricey?
I found a Bosch repair station here in Long Beach, CA.
The guy's name is Joe, and he has seal kits in stock.
