• Sorry for the dumb questions but this is my first turbo diesel. Is 10 - 12 lbs low?  I thought a 1.6td ran more than that stock and I have an upgraded turbo and pump.

• With out you giving some specs, shots in the dark is what you are going to get for answers.
  
  Wastegate? MBC? Kind of turbo upgrade?

• Thats about what my stock 1.6td motors do with the blowoff valve, with t3 and k24 turbos as far as peak, which I think is by design.
  
  I do most of my driving on the freeway.
  
  Steady I don't get 10 unless I'm cruising with hills and/or wind, and it can easily max out.
  
  If I travel on flat land and just chill out going about 74mph, close to 3000 rpms I will get less than 10, maybe closer to 5.

• Yup, sounds stock.  So you upgraded your pump and turbo?  Can we get some info on what you did? 
  
  Did you retain or delete your stock intake-mounted 'blow-off' valve, because that dumps at about the pressure you specified.
