Living in Tucson I need AC if I want to drive my 1988 Vanagon GL with the AAZ diesel engine in the summer--and we have a LONG summer. Consequently, I have changed the bracket on my AAZ to one that fits both the Alt and the AC compressor. The AC is now working in the van and I have a non-AC bracket as well as a 70A Alt with a clutched pulley for sale to anyone that wants to eliminate their AC system..

The Alt came with the engine when I bought it and has been working perfectly since I bought it. When I changed the bracket I installed a new 90A Alt one so no longer need the 70A Alt.
