Hello! I'd already posted this question on another topic started by me, which no one responded. Maybe it was offtopic...
What I am going to report here, has already been solved some years ago, but I would like to know what was it, actually! We got to know the previous records of our cars.

For that, I count with your help!
Let me ask you this stupid question  : What does the K24 have in an amount of 5/6 (I think 6) and is replaceable, one by one :?:
My dad told me the turbo on my car (his, at the time) had a problem, once! He can't explain what it was, but said the mechanic replaced all but one, of those 5/6 particular parts inside the turbo. My father called it "something like plugs"! The one which wasn't replaced was supposedly due to difficult accessibility... I have no clue what it might be.. :!: :?
The only clue I have is that for 150.000km and 8 years of ownership, my father never had that turbo cooling concern...
It was my father's car at the time it happened, but it's mine, now.
Yes, that's got to be it. Bolts!
or the bolts that hold the intake scroll to the backing plate.
I would incline more to these ones, don't know why..
Could you point them on this pic, or their location?

Note that the turbo failed, so much, that the car was running like a NA! I suppose, it stopped functioning at all.
So, which bolts could more easily provoke this, afterall? Could it really be only the bolts? (not that I doubt it's a more than sufficient reason to disable a turbo!) And what could have cause them to brake?!
Thanks for trying to make me understand this, Andrew.
:? This ends up being very confusing, I know... Quite hard to determine with some accuracy what happened. Unfortunately, all I know is what was said on the first post. Don't know more details. So you are as much aware of the problem as I am..
Although, one thing I can assure: the bolts weren't certainly soft tightened because the entire turbo set was still in its stock condition at the time. No one had put their hands on it!
I have taking it granted it was those "plugs" or bolts, the only problem of the turbo. My dad told me that was only it. But... was it?? Could (should) have it been something else?!
Well, the turbo wasn't rebuilt. That's for sure, either!
