Rockauto.com has a variety of m/c for a 92 jetta ranging from $27 for a no-name unit to $92 for a new beck/arnley. It'd probably be easier to do a return if you weren't pleased with the quality. IIRC some of the 'cardone' units from rock auto were rebuilt ATE at least for mkI.
FWIW, every non-ATE master cylinder I've bought for a european car in the last decade has been a piece of trash in one manner or another.
If you have time to possibly play musical parts till one works right go for it, if time and effort and longevity are a thing, cough up
the OEM dough.

For what it is worth: I have done very well with O'Reilley's remans with lifetime warranty.
Have never had to exchange yet....I am very good about changing brake fluid intelligently.....been running some of them over 5 years. No probs. Keep the receipt.
