Hey, for those of you who have removed or had custom pins made, is there a way to position the pin in the aneroid to be more aggressive or docile?
I pulled the diaphragm and pin, as per the write up, to change the o-ring in the aneroid. What I noticed is the pin's ramp is not centered on the base. It favors one side. I was thinking that it could be rotated to change the fueling characteristics.
Has anyone ever experimented with this? I figure if you had a custom pin made, you're already playing with the pin's orientation.
After changing the o-ring, I'm not sure why the write up has you pulling the diaphragm and pin. The o-ring can be changed without opening and removing those parts. Maybe for checking the diaphragm's condition and cleaning, but that's about it.
FYI, my hex plug must have been an odd size... 4.5mm, maybe. I ended up using a T-27 Torx and it fit perfectly.
