not on a mk1..... 2 tabs, 1 slotted thats vertiicle, one wth hole thats horizontal, the studs of the verticle rod go thru the holes...

if the rack was ever replaced, unless sed auto rack, they all came with tabs...

2nd pia... auto bunny gotta go down out the bay, so gotta remove exhaust... the auto and master have room issues to go up..

Hey CRSMP5,

I'm not sure what you mean by the above? I was going to yank the whole drivetrain, but for the interests of the KISS principle, I am thinking about just leaving the engine in, then pulling the 010 and dropping in the 020.

I'm running a K03 on my 1.6,and have a custom down pipe. Which I'm thinking might interfere with my shifter linkage.....

thanks

Be sure to check out the brake boosters. Both cars are German-made, so there shouldn't be a problem. But on USA-made Rabbits vs. Jetta/Convertible/Scircco, there is a difference in the boosters, which means you may need to replace the master with the booster and the pedal pack.

Thanks for the heads up, the rabbit is a made in Germany, so I'm assuming the pedals and stuff will line up?

And while you're in there...   ;D

Think hard about re-enforcing the spot on the firewall the clutch cable goes through.
They break and are an annoyance to fix later.

Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become ignorant.
