hmmmm, I will check out that holset. In an ideal world I'd find a k14 in a junkyard for $100 and get it rebuilt. Not looking to spend a lot of money.
I'm still running factory exhaust and downpipe. I kind of wanted to settle on a turbo before I fab a custom down pipe though. Will do a 2.5" or 3" downpipe and exhaust eventually, as well as a small FMIC. Not looking to boost over 20psi. Power goal of 125~135hp.
This is my daily driver, and all my driving is between 1700~3100rpm, so I would like a smaller turbo that will make good boost around 2k rpm. With my t3 and current setup I can feel the boost just begin to build right as I shift near 3krpm, and then rpms drop too low to keep it going. Feels like I'm not taking advantage of the turbo.
