Genuine almost new RA/SB GTD injection pump SOLD
« on: December 03, 2013, 10:27:49 am »
Hi

I'm selling my almost new injection pump as my old one is still working and am clearing a load of stuff at the moment. (I expect mine will leak as soon as this sells...)

Pump specs to fit 1.6TD engine with 80hp output, i.e. GTD engine with intercooler.

Anyway, I purchased this pump a number of years ago from ebay UK. When I bought it the pump was brand new, not vw exchange a new pump and genuine.

I then installed it on my rebuilt engine, and started the engine for the first time with it. The pump idled the engine perfectly but the engine would not rev, so I installed my old pump. It now seems clear I did not clear the pump of air before condemning it. I ran the pump for a total of about 1-2 minutes.

I then sent the pump to a well known member of this board who replaced the main seals with Genuine Bosch and carried out the governor mod. He commented that he could see nothing wrong with the pump and it was beautifully clean.

Since then it has been sealed, wrapped in two bags and boxed in my bedroom, so not in a damp area.

VW Part number is: 068130110B
Bosch Part number is:0 460 494 267 or R 328-5BT 4001

I'm looking for £150 or $250, I'm in the UK so postage to US is about £50 or $80.

Thanks, Will

Do you know if this would function on an N/A engine? Or does the turbo compensator need some sort of pressure input to function correctly?

As far as I know it would function fine on an N/A engine. The compensator/enrichment can be blanked off and would operate as a standard N/A pump.
