i believe your wastegate is stuck closed like mine, you're going to have to find someone to get it loose, try removing the metal line from the wastegate and then putting the aircompressor on it, this freed mine, but make sure you drive around alot afterwards, and shoot lube down in there to get it nice and loose. and hopefully it will stay free, otherwise you'll have to pull the wastegate off and clean it. the way yours is now, the only way to control boost is with more or less fuel. you'll always have as much as there is boost, like on my jetta, more fuel just made more and more boost. your only option to get it to work is to free the wastegate somehow

so is there a way to check if it is real stuck?
i thought the problem was if it was open...if its closed it would be ok...
so if i can get it loose it will change the boost reactions right?
i want to have full boost at 3000 or 3500 not at red-line...

if it was open you would have low boost, and if you have 1.6 bar, thats a good bit so, i'm asuming it's not open, you can make sure it's not stuck open, by taking a 10mm deep well socket and loosening the lock nut on the wastegate, then you need a 3mm allen wrench, and tighten the adjustment the entire way, then loosen it back to either where it was, or until the screw gets very loose, then tighten it again until it touches then lock it back. if that frees your wastegate which it could, then you'll stay at around 10psi.

well so i think that could not be the problem because i was at 0.6 bar stock and to increase boost i put the 3mm allen bolt all the way in and the boost came.

well thats the problem then, if you want it to peak you have to loosen it some, you either have it shut the entire way or you have it set at a pressure your not fuelign enough for to reach

you will need to mess with your fuel screw for that kind of boost. a larger exhaust will definitely help too.
i would also recommend that you take off the intake plumbing going to the turbo and shine a light and see if you can verify the state of the turbine blades. there should be little or no clearance for the blades, and they should be straight and not curvy. bent blades will give poor boost qualities.

i have a good intercooler but no EGT yet.
so there is no point on adding the MBC right?
i just wanted to increase boost at "lower"(read 3000)rpm because i still see light some on boost.
thought that on boost all the smoke would be gone that way

what would be the benefits and downside in performance/reliability on setting the pump at 1 or 1.05 or more?
sorry about all the Q...
