Me too. The wife is all for the jeep project and thinks we need a fuel pump for it. I would probably put it on the 1.6 and keep my 12mm for the jeep...but I could get it as just like guitars, all pumps look the same in the case :D

The 300TDI pumps from EGR equipped engines come with a great TPS that can be used to run a stand alone VNT controller... :-D

nope.. got a 300 one on mine with tps.. :P

why i told him to join people... to discuss price and so on.. he has a friend who can try out rover running stuff before pulling them... IMO known running pump value exceeds guess if it runs...

he also has a stash of idi here in ohio.. last time he went to the uk he brought back 2 rover pumps and a few 6 idi ones with his carry on luggage.. (if i did not mess this story up)

he says his garage in uk full of pumps, turbos and such as diesel there has no value vs here..

myke_w wants a pd 150 intake.. so ill hook myke up with his # to do those arrangements... but unless he knows he can sell the stuff he is on the how much do i spend and what to bring back issue...

i myself would do list with non refundable deposites... once in the usa.. then finilize it all... but he in ne ohio.. good for lucas... me and even bbob..

its the "source" we have needed.. he is a diesel nut... and not just vw.. even izuzu (sp??) and such he is into...

good phone guy after you get use to the language differances.. and well worth a oppertunity..

The IDI Giles pump will need work to run your DI properly my man, not just a bolt on and go operation.

nope.. got a 300 one on mine

There are Mechanical and ECU driven 300TDI just as there are Mechanical and ECU driven 1.9L in our continent ;). I too have a 300tdi pump on my AHU. No TPS though.

Can you run the tps one without hooking it up? And can the govmod be performed?

Yup, the TPS does nothing but read the throttle position, it doesn't interact with the function of the pump in any way.

The ECU equipped 300TDIs were only found in vehicles with automatic transmissions. I believe it was an electronic transmission so it necessitated an electronic engine.

Sounds good. What type of price do these bad boys go for? So I can make sure my wife doesnt see that amount is missing.

there is huge range of prices.. seen them for 50 on ebay uk... but those look crappy and you have no idea if its good or not...

so id assume price will vary with condition and known if good or not..

myself.. id pay best price for known good running one.. 8v would pay cheapest price as he can fix one if bad...

the goal is he joins, you all show him love that this forum has to offer and dont be flakey...

he is imo the uk contact we need here.. we lack one.. and he sounds like he wants to start a business of some sort doing this... but his first try was a fail... places like tdi club would be a fail... here.. it will make him a great home...
