WTB: Mk1 TD oil pan, Mk1 alt/AC bracket

As stated.

Need a Mk1 TD pan with the drain line connection.

Also need a Mk1 alternator bracket from a car with AC. Alternator bolt bushing must be in good shape - aka not ovaled out and not stuck.

you do know mk1 and mk2 oil return lines into the pan are different correct??

i highly suggest mocking it up and determine in the line fits in angled to a 11 o clock or 1 o clock direction..

mk1 should be 11o clock position...

This is to replace the oil pan on my 84 1.6TD, like for like.

hey as long as he is 10000000% positive no one ever did a engine swap.. or ruined the mk1 pan and retrofitted a mk2 line and pan.. ok... i can care less.......... i told him what makes one mk1 vs mk2... so if all else fails someone does not sell him wrong one...

but f you 8v... i knew why i said something... the op may not get it.. but at least a seller would...

you just need the main cast ac bracket or all the parts?? make sure where the ac comp mounts to the bracket are nice and perfect.. if someone left the ac comp loose after belt adj they wear in odd ways.. and unless perfectly flat will ruin good ac compresors as they do not fit properly.. a file/grinder can fix some...

no i consider the op as a flake as there is no riddle.. i asked him to make sure how the line goes in.. and how a mk1 is vs a mk2...

anyone looking to reply after my post could see my queston to go opps i got the wrong one... having pissing match w/you... again stupid... do not even get why you replied to it.. i know why i did.. so there is not a member trying to install mismatched parts like a year ago...

And we knew this as the general public how?? I'm just saying, be more concise is all. Hard to fully understand something without the whole picture.

We did a full rebuild on this motor. Its a factory mk1 TD.

And pretty sure we just need the bracket.

I just sold the one I had, sorry. If you cannot find anything and it is needed right away, you could use some adapters on a bulkhead fitting. If not an emergency and you have time, then no big deal we will keep searching for you.

no idea on the alt bracket, but I am sure someone will have one.

or you get a mk2 line and pan.. or mod a mk2 one (cut/weld)

unlike on a mk2... it has no rear mount in the way...

We had a leak at the drain bolt area that we noticed when we did the rebuild. We tried fixing it, but its still leaking. And we just switched to synthetic oil and now we have a much bigger oil puddle on our garage floor. We'd like to stay with the mk1 pan if possible. We'd really like to not have to mod stuff to fit. We have one more possible solution we're going to try. Fingers crossed it will work. Getting tired of having to clean up oil every time we move the car.

thats all....

pull the pan...

inside it is 2 spot welds holding the threaded area of the nut.. remove it and weld in a new nut inside the pan with drain plug... (i use the drain plug to hold the nut in place while welding)

ive done that lots of times on td pans...

just rebuild it. costs less and better when done..

what's the difference between a MK1 and MK2 AC alternator bracket? Don't hey both mount on top of the water pump?
