WTB early 1.6 crank sprocket with non-integrated key
«

I am currently working on a "CR" code ('82 Jetta) engine and am in need of a good non-integrated front (where else?) crankshaft sprocket.
These fit the earlier crankshaft which has the narrow keyway and actually utilizes a key which is seperate from the sprocket.
I actually even forgot these exist as everything I run utilizes the newer integrated sprocket and key.
I may have one in my storage mess and will start looking for it later today. But THAT is a herculean task at the slightest.....right up there with waterboarding. So if you have a non-damaged one......let's talk.

Right.
I'm starting to think I never had one of these on hand. You see....that was the deal with my original 1.5. That engine just ran and ran and ran....never needed any work. Then, the ex-wife ran it into a concrete block retaining wall one bright sunny morning.
Women......
That was about the time being single didn't look so bad........

I know I have at least two of them, maybe three, but the question is where? I'll keep an eye out.

I believe these are the ones you're looking for if you want to go new. This is the only place I've found that still has them.

The one from ebay should be here in few days. Hopefully, it is a good one.
If not, will contact one of the above. Thanks.
