Broken TB Question

What usually gets taken out when a TDI loses a timing belt besides the head and some of the pistons?

Yes the rods can bend. possibly the rod bearing and main bearings. I think the cranks are too tough to get hurt but I suppose there is a one in a million chance that it could get hurt.
