Finally got my valve cover gasket and camshaft seal. Valve cover gasket was bent a little I guess I will thow it on. What is the thread size on the studs? I want to replace the nuts but I guess I can go to the parts store and find some nuts. I dont have a thread gauge so I thought I would ask. Didnt see the studs described in the Bentley but im blind sometimes.

The bolt/stud size is 6mmx1.0

If you end up getting a g60 cover you will probably want 20mm bolts. If not, I am sure 10-15mm would be good

New valve cover gasket installed. Went ok except for the annoying mosquitos.

So im thinking the newely rebuilt IP is leaking as well where should I buy a new seal kit? I saw one kit for sale on ebay for 19.90 from someone called prothe. Any thoughts?

Most of his stuff is sub-par from what I've heard (you get what you pay for). Not sure about his IP seals though. I'll let those more knowledgeable chime in on that.

If it were me, I'd stick to high quality stuff on something like the IP - which is the heart of your engine.

Yea I want to buy a bosch kit but dont know if there are any places that wont take a month to get here. And I dont have my Bentley in front of me to know the part number.

I have said it before....but the only reason I would ever buy ANYTHING else from Prothe would be so ebay would allow me another 80 words of negative feedback! IIRC, there was an ebay user named Samthedieselman that sold full rebuild kits. Price was very fair and he ships very fast. Highly recommended.
