Coolant temp sensor

What is the correct coolant temp sensor???

I was going to buy new coolant sensors for my 1989 1.6 n/a diesel, but when ordering on germanautoparts.com it show a sensor that I dont believe I have?

black in color 2 wire...

blue for gasser fuel... white for ac overheat kill..

88 starts plastic waternecks... so look up 90/91 as they feel 89 still aluminum... thats a aluminum neck sensor...

All the time, Chris. 

And you can look up the coolant temp sensor for a MK1 VW, since what you have is essentially that.  Just look up on for a 1.6NA on a '82 rabbit or something.

http://www.gowestyautoparts.com/ has them. Under "Belts and Cooling / Sensors."

The black sensor is for the gauges I think should be the same gas or diesel.
