Couple Touring Canada, what should we stop to see?
« on: June 27, 2013, 03:22:47 pm »
I'm planning a 20 day trip august 1-20 for me and my girlfriend in my golf, we will be sleeping in the back  right now i'm in the planning stage and looking for suggestions on where to stop and what to do. We will be leaving windsor ontario and heading up through quebec and over through new brunswick to nova scotia, pei etc. Hoping some fellow canadians or people that have travelled to these places can chime in and suggest some must see places, attractions, hidden spots off the beaten trail etc. I'll be posting pictures of the car shortly and the trip once we get going  hope to hear from some fellow canucks  :)

You must walk on the ocean floor at the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick :) Water goes up near the trees!

These rocks have all changed their form drastically in the last 10-15 years, while the rocks just behind me taking the picture haven't changed at all in the last 150.. WEIRD EH?

I'm 6 ft  :o my girlfriend is only 5'1 though, i'm gonna take the front seat on my side out of the tracks every night and shove it as far foward as it will go, and remove the center console, this leaves me with 3 inches of headroom :) i'm also replacing the back seat with a folding padded platform i will be making out of plywood, and those rocks are definately added to the list thanks :)

I hope so :) i'm looking into making some kind of swamp cooler too, not sure what the weather is supposed to be like out there is august but i imagine there will be a couple hot days. Thinking about bringing another battery with an inverter to run fans and laptop at night, not sure if i'll have room though :s

I suggest driving the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.   If you like history, Louisbourg is a must.   Quebec City (old town) is great as well.

Well day one was great :) i'll be posting pictures when i have time or when i get back, we left windsor at 9, spent the afternoon in niagara falls, did maid of the mist, big ferris wheel, and dinner at rainforest cafe. Then i drove to peterborough and we spent the night in the walmart parking lot :)

Today is horseback riding western style and then something with water, not sure what yet lol.
