AAZ questions
« on: March 09, 2006, 05:25:45 am »
I have just replaced my turbo (Garrett T2, off a 1.6 JX, cos its a 50 degree installation on VW truck), and pretty sure my injectors have taken a right hammering from running on oil pouring into the turbo by the bucketful at times (detonation, grey smoke etc).

Having fitted a bleed valve and stopped up the BOV, so running just a few psi extra boost, should I buy just the standard AAZ injectors or is there something more appropriate?
Not looking for much more than a healthy and noticeable increase in power, but not a rocket ship.

And  the engine has

Vmax = 3600
embosssed on cam-cover - what is a safe rpm for these engines, have seen it go round to 4200 occasionally in the gears!

Thanks
