Preference and/or best fit for Mk2 intercooler.
« on: June 13, 2013, 08:34:09 am »
Looking to add a turbo to my  N/A. I at least know the intercooler benefits it. So for a Mk2, what do we think is the best intercooler to use that will fit?

Thanks in advance.

Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.

I'd like some good suggestions.

I recently changed engine. My new engine is a SB, originally mounted with an IC, came in a GTD. the car I got the engine from dent have AC and since my car does, I cannot mount the GTD IC because the AC pipes come in the way of the brackets.

So what I have in mind is a FMIC. But with the AC plumbing, the FMIC plumbing won't really be a walk in the park.

Would love suggestions.

You could try to find a smaller IC and put it up ahead like this guy did. I thought of making a custom expanded metal grill and putting it where the stock grill would be.
