I have a shop located in Brampton, just north of T.O.
We deal in a lot of new, used, rebuilt, and core VW diesel parts. If you need something, let me know.
We can also supply new OEM and aftermarket VW parts as well.
We can modify your TD crankshaft, damaged or not,to accept the TDI crank gear, and eliminate the potential of the crank gear coming off.I usually have 1 or 2 in stock, ready to ship.Crank gear mod runs $250 plus the gear if needed.
We also service and maintain all cars and trucks, gas or diesel.
If I can be of any technical assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.
Please email
[email protected] for more info,or call (905)459-9282 M-F 9am-6pm EST.

Hi,
I'm getting some GTD injector nozzles from Smog & was wondering what you would charge to pop test/balance them & install into my 97 Golf TD. My current injectors seem to be wotking fine but I got this car as-is back in Jan with 336000 kms & do not know it's full history. It had it's timing belt changed at 300k & injector pump rebuilt around the same time. I'm up in Borden, west of Barrie but would not mind the drive down to your area. Cheers.

I just replied to your PM.
Thanks for the quick reply. I've pm'd Giles as you suggested. I haven't owned a diesel before & this forum has sure helped to get me somewhat up to speed. I previously had a 91 Mazda MPV that was lucky to get 20 mpg so it's nice to get 45-47 with the Golf. Cheers.

Hi Wyldman,
I'm in Acton, so not far from you...
I have a 94TD Jetta with a "rebuilt" motor that is getting about 650km/tank, so I'm looking to get it serviced.
I'm thinking of...
Rebuilding the injectors with Smog's nozzles.
Advancing the timing to 1.00" (?).
Checking the compression (or do I really want to know...).
Wanna hook up?
Matt

Depends what you're looking for.
If it's injection-related (pump, injectors, timing, etc.) Talk to Giles or myself at Performance Diesel Injection in Markham. 905-940-2266 or
[email protected](Or just PM one or the other of us on here.)

Are there any suppliers in Canada who have new TD/TDI short and or long blocks? Or does anyone know of a link to an over seas supplier?

i was at this guys shop in T.O. and he had a link to a brand new TDI long block (basically just the block & head, nothing else... good for those who messed a timing belt etc) for $1800. I payed $1200 for a used long block, but also got some of the extra goodies that go with it minus the turbo & injection pump. i would have bought it had i not put so much into my longblock.
