Will a mk2 pump bracket work in a mk1 along with a gasser pass side motor mount?

I think you would want a MK3 AAZ or AHU/1Z TDI with the 50mm hole (1 piece pulley).
The MK2 uses a very similar support for the pump mount as the MK1. The only difference is there is no motor mount attached to it.
I'm not sure if there are 3 mounting points on the mk2 block for the mk3 bracket though. If I remember I'll have a look next time I'm in the shop.

You mean weld the gasser bushing holder onto the diesel bracket?

I think I've seen someone cut the pump bracket and then use the gasser motor mount as well. I'm not overly excited about that idea though.
