Not a true gti body. I could have sworn the first true-GTI was released in 83 in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong.
think 76 is first true gti... canada got a few euro ones... but title says rep= repo right? as in fake gti..
Rep as in reproduction. Changed the lights out from squares to rounds, added the Cabbi body kit & grille. I like the Dodge side marker lights... nice touch. Interior is pretty shabby, and the major clue it's not a real GTI...
ive seen factory 80 german round eye bunnies in canada... hell saw 1 that was registered on usa side.. really odd seat pattern/material and yellow glow plug light.. till 80 they were red.. on the 2 clock cluster.. clock/speedo.. no idea if cyclops ones got yellow glow light..
but its a rabbit diesel... its a 80... its from canada.. its been painted.. so imo nothing specuial...

Yep has chrome window trim too. It's not really anything gti about it other than the quad rounds but I'd say that's more of a cabby thing. If it was a 79 diesel it came with round headlights
