FS: Two Audi Vw 5cyl 2.0 Turbo Diesel engines IDI
« on: April 30, 2013, 09:21:29 pm »
I have a couple of 2.0L turbo diesel inline fives from 1983 audi turbo diesel 5000s.

One was rebuilt and never started, the other was pulled from a running car at a yard. Both were kept indoor in my garage.

I purchased those a couple of years ago for a 4000 quattro project but I never got around to it. It know that if I sell the idea is gone so it s a reluctant sale.

I am asking $450 for the used engine and $700 for the rebuilt unit. Both injection pumps are in unknown condition as I haven't started the engines since the purchase.

I also have a 200 20V Turbo transmission that is perfect for an audi quattro swap as it has the 4.10 final drive and tall .73 fifth gear. I am asking $280 for that one and will only sell with an engine purchase for the moment.

Just to help you sell these, I would like to state that they'll bolt onto the bell housings of TONS of cars such as VW Passat, Quantum, Audi A4, A6, 4000, 5000, V8, 80, 90, 100, 200, S4, S6, etc.  Pretty much any car that had either a 01A, 01E, or 016 transmission (Quattro or FWD as long as it has the longitudinal tranny).  I think the 012 (exclusively FWD?) trannies will work as well.  In many cases, the engine mounting brackets will bolt right up too.  I think they'll also bolt into some Vanagons and Eurovans with the proper bits and pieces.  Don't quote me on that one though.

No, unfortunately they won't fit any of the transverse tranny cars such as Golf, Jetta, etc.  These engines are too long, and bell housings don't have the required bolt holes.  Just FYI for potential buyers.

The rebuilt engine has a reman head, new pistons, reconditioned rods, main and rod bearings, all new gaskets and a brand New Turbo. It has never turned since the rebuild and has no belts on.
