is the oil pump underneath the vacuum pump?

My oil light is taking longer and longer to go out each morning when I fire up my car. Plenty of oil tho.

And is the oil pump underneath the vacuum pump? Just slides out or so?

Take the pan off, two allen or 6-points remove the oil pan from the engine. It is pretty much straight forward. For the price, i'd replace it regardless.. but with the budget minded.. are you sure it is the pump? You should get a mechanical gauge sir.

  The obvious question is that you have no odd noises, right?  If not check with a dial type gauge. 

  How long since the last oil change?  If its been a few miles I'd start there.  I guess its possible to get oil that didn't really meet the standards as well...

Check your timing belt tension. If it's too tight your IM bearings are quickly being killed. There is also an o-ring on the oil pump shaft that I've read can contribute to low oil pressure.

Is it getting colder and colder where you are? That can also contribute if you are running dino oil.
