WTB MK2 Turbo Diesel Air Box or Lid
« on: March 17, 2013, 06:06:41 pm »
Doing an AHU MTDI swap into my Golf and just realized the MK3 airbox I've got is too wide to fit. I am looking for an oem MK2 TD airbox.
Thanks!

If it helps, you really only need to find the TD lid... the base you can get from a gasser. I don't know what year I'm using mine from, it was an 88 GTI I think, but anyway it all fit just fine.

Cool if someone here has just a lid then, I think I could very easily scare up the other half locally. Thanks for the tip.

VW Classic Parts lists them as being available. Not sure about how to ship one from Germany to the US. VWheritage also shows it on their site, but again nothing about cost of shipping to the states. The piece is between 54-60 euros depending on where you look. Maybe a dealer could order you one. Part number 191129607D

I should mention, that I bought one, and it didn't fit, the clips were different, so I threw it away (it was only a couple dollars) and I went back to the junkyard and found another and that one fit. I can't remember exactly what car it came from though.

I have a complete setup. Do you need the intake tube as well or just the box?

Send me a IM
