Gas to diesel Ce2 wiring questions...
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:32:25 pm »
93 B3 16v cis motronic to MTdi. Wondering sbout W terminal wiring. Where should I plug in the W/tach wire to the fuse box? Where the W would go on a mk2 diesel or Where the Ecu tach signal wouldve plugged in for the gas system? How about the oil warning system with that work as long as tach is working? Going to try out the dakota digi and see what it does...

You have the stock B3 harness? Is the B3 the same wiring wise as B4? As I recall, the B4 tach is driven by the ECU and has a stepper motor tach.

b3 16v should have a coil driven tach, b4 passat i think would depend on whether it was obd1 or obd2 for what drove the tach.  ud want to run the w terminal where the coil signal would go for the 16v,  for the oil warning system to work you'll probably just have to make sure the signal it gets comes from the dakota digital converter
