• The AAZ A/C and non-A/C alt brackets are the same.

• If you look on vortex there I found a company (I forget who) that was selling new ones (on line) that I used and it was exactly like the vw one and connected properly to the A3 power steering mount, it just lacked the spring to hold the alternator tight.  I think it was sold as a kit with the alternator, i just forget who...

  Physically it will fit the block but the alternator or PS won't attach to the bracket.
