« on: February 22, 2013, 03:50:15 pm »
Yes very similar to the other one i saw around here some time ago. Pics to follow but it is the brand new in box diesel cruise kit that the dealers used to use in the late 70's early 80's. Complete and unmolested other than crappy box! I need cash so Im looking for 125 plus shipping? Ill toss it on ebay if nobody here wants it.

Howdy,

Does that unit have the dash control, or a replacement turn-signal stalk..?

sorry guys I just snagged it from him earlier this evening.  I did a PM last night and finished the deal 30 mins ago.  Looks like the controller box model.  I have something like it on my Ford PU.  I like it better than the stalk addition.  Lets me put the controls at the dash where I can reach it with my hand on the stick as I drive.

i see that style in the local scrap yard quit a bit ,put one on my winter caddy and it works great, there are on the older cars till the mid ninties, see them on all the makes of cars,  they can work off a magnet and pick up off the axel for a diesel or for the gasser off the coil , but can be set up both ways  ,  easy to hook up the probems with them are usually the connetions they get corroded.

Well, I got it working today in case any care to know.  I had to build a cable from the servo to the IP but I may end up with the original sometime down the line.  It may be buried in the storage area.  I was all set to take it out on the road after having it up on jack stands and engaging correctly and noticed most of my oil was running down the driveway.  Blew a hole in the hose going to the Frantz filter.  Back to fixing and cleaning.  No joy ride today.
