toggle is problem...

too many grounds... 85 or 86 can be ground.. other one has to be some sort of power.. togle = ground... and you stated you grounded the other...

so give toggle power.. and your golden..

I did run the ground for the toggle into the same ground for all the gauges as well as the relay ground. Is that what youre talking about? Should I ground it to something else?

It is a 3 pin toggle. It has power, ACC, ground.

I also found this.

Ground is ground. It shouldn't matter.

If the switch is labeled with what needs to be where, I am confused on how you screwed it up lol.

Hook the three pins up the way they say, and the ACC goes to the 86 in your diagram posted. The supply for the toggle switch can be taken from the 30 on the relay if it is close to it, or from any other 12v source. Key'd or Hot. It only takes like 1.3789 amps to flick the relay on, so you will not be overloading any of the circuits you tap in to.

both of you stop and read...

he has 30 power from  batt

87 gauges and stuff

he has ground on the other  (85 or 86)

he has toggle to other.. other side of toggle is ground... (85 or 86)

2 grounds will NOT WORK... one has to be power..

now his whole problem is he the toggle.. cannot follow it.. LOL.. if its a illuminated one.. the acc/light is ground where you feed power thru switch.. else it is 2 wire and well 1 side relay.. other will have to be power.. depending on how those 2 on/off terminals are vs how the light is set up it will either be lit when off o rlit when on too... i tend to not use the light up ones.. i wire in a real led to the output of my relay..

the damb acc switch is the issue.. you really need a ohm meter to test the 3 plugs... but i really think the acc is the light... aka on light.. then other 2 are open/close.. function of the switch..

I could confirm that by simply unplugging the ACC lead and see if the led goes out, and everything else stays on right?

dafuq I just read? I told him the proper way to hook it up. Why would it not work that way? Two grounds? Yes two grounds are needed on the three spade switch with an internal LED. On ground is for the switch, the other ground for the relay. Can they share a ground? Sure why not, still two separate things grounding though.

Wire it up EXACTLY as this diagram shows and be done with it already lol. WTH.

He said that he grounded both ends of the relay coil essentially - one end at the relay, the other end at the toggle switch.  So no, 2 grounds doesn't work in that case, but yes, he needs two grounds total in the system.
