Thing started right up (with three cycles of the glows for good measure). Going to take it on a short trip today. Really hate to tear it apart to fix it since still run so nice when warmed up. Still have to give it quarter throttle till it gets to hitting on all four cylinders.

I am thinking I have one or two going bad. Will have to test them on the sly as where I live frowns on working on a car in the parking lot. Already got dirty looks for cleaning my windows and changing some bad bulbs

Would all those frowning at you be available 24 hrs of the day to come give you a jump to get it started? My guess is not. So fix it so you don't need them to do that. What is a little hood up time going to do? It isn't like you are changing the oil and potentially spilling it on the lot for others to track into their cars.
Is it part of the rental agreement? I have had those before. Mostly from previous tenants disassembling a transmission on the living room floor and ruining the carpet. Duh?

Agreed, Be sure to film your arrest for changing your glow plugs.
You live in Kentucky and put up with that? Around here we can do what we
want. Work on the car. Target practice. Turn up the amps.
Spilling your oil is fine too. Oil is what black top and tires are made from.
It won't hurt a thing.

It's in the rental agreement. I have seen them tow off vehicles in violation of their terms and then kick the owners off of the property. But what can you expect when you pay weekly rent.

What I would expect is that you find a new place next week.

Probably not since I have now gone from guest to employee.
So the only one to snitch on me is me
Car ran great 10 mile round trip. Tires aired up, leaking pump, exhaust leak, and grinding diff and all.

Got my glows changed out, but still no start because the battery died before I got all the air out of the lines.
Broke the dry rotted return line off at the pump. Guess I will be changing that out this weekend.

Haven't done much but drive is as is. Time and money make doing anything to the car difficult.
I did pick up a transmission for it.
Will be going from the 4A to a GY.
