Sometimes when the glow plug relay fails it will trigger the glow plugs on while driving which will burn out all four in short order unless they are duraterms.
cold flow? There doesn't have to be ANY FUEL flowing, as long as the pump is full of fuel, and the injector lines are primed.

My truck overcooled as I got to the top of a mountain the other day. I noticed, because the glows started cycling. i din't want to burn em out, so i unplugged the relay, and went to work. I figured my fan clutch was seized. After finishing my job, I go to plug the relay back in, and give the fan a flip. it doesn't go far, but a glint catches my eye. Ooh, shiney alternator pulley, no belt. There is the belt, tied in a knot around the fan clutch LOL.it must have been my lucky day, because I had a spare in the tire well./coolstarry
Clunk indeed. I have had people look really long and hard at me when I jump in and hit the key and it goes clunk and I am happily seat behind the wheel. They are just about ready to offer a jump and I crank it over and Varrooom. I would like to know what they think at that point as there is no second clunk that they hear.Works good, I like it.
