T3 and K14 both are blowing oil.

Any ebay kits recommended over another... like seller x, y or z?

Any pitfalls to beware of?

Seriously check out the FAQ for the stickied turbo rebuilder that CRSMP5 found. For double the cost of a kit to rebuild it yourself you get the entire thing done. Professionally balanced and a 12 month unlimited mile warranty.

x2

i wouldnt even consider rebuilding it myself if i didnt have a way of re-balancing the CHRA..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.
