Is that a terrible timing belt tear up? I don't recognize parts off anything from the 90's. Way too young for me.

Yep it is. It also broke about 180 degrees away from that point. It happened at highway speeds. I'm excited to crack the motor open.

The head seems fine except some bent valves (1 for sure) and the fact that lifter bore #1 won't accept a lifter anymore. I think the edge just needs some work and it would be savable.
