almost there
« on: December 09, 2012, 06:48:27 pm »
Hello every one.  My 1.6 eco swap is almost complete.  Belive it or not the hardest thing im running into is figuring out how the alternator/tensioner go back in.  I took it off months ago.  I managed to remember where all the wires go but not how the stupid alternator goes in.  I have a 1.6 with no powersteering or AC.  It has the bracket with the teeth on it I can not figure out how to get the bracket with the teeth on there and have it tension.  Can some one please snap a picture or 15.  Please pm me and I will give you my cell to text them to or email.  Thank you all.  If any one else is doing a 1.6 eco swap and runs into a snag please feel free to pm me.

Well i found an old picture on my phone,  I ended up using a cherry picker to get it tensioned up at the right angle to get the stupid bracket on, I have a lot of air in the system and thanks to the old alitutude vac system i figured out i was running the wrong wire to the fuel soilinoid, so know i will be towing it around in second for about an hour, thats what it took last time, sorry for the anoying commans my period key is broken, so hopefully i will have a video of it up and running this week,  Also i know there have been people looking for an oil feed line for a eco turbo set up, i got mine made at a shop ill let you know how it holds up its some type of hydrualic hose, but they promised it would work, only 40 bucks so hope it does
