Feeler on Diesel Tools FS
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:12:12 pm »

Another update:

I sold everything except the "late" valve tool - basically the tool for the last couple years of mechanical heads - wider spacing between the buckets. $35 shipped - I got dinged on shipping a few times on other tools so this is more than fair.

-----------------

I am heading out of the country for a while. My car is about to be sold and once that is closed i`d like to also sell all my diesel tools.

Updated info:

So I guess i`m all in now and have sold & shipped these items:
Early narrow Hazet bucket depressor
1 of 2 Piston protrusion bars
Valve shim plier
Timing tensioner tool for twisting the tensioner
Hazet valve stem seal puller
One set of timing tools including the gauge, IP adapter, IP pin, and cam lock
Pop Tester

Available for sure:
Hazet wide tappet depressor $25 shipped
One USA piston protrusion bar $25 shipped
Valve shims $2 each shipped in US - may be new or used but in good shape
Injector shims - make offer, haven`t decided

I have no less than 5 of every size valve shim - up to 20 of some sizes 3.00 to 4.30
I have every size of injector shim - nearly 200 total

Wider  valve shim tool kinda calls my name.
would you want to sell the valve shims as one lot or part out?  I have a lot, but am missing a couple sizes.

I would prefer to sell all the shims separate, everyone let me know what sizes you need.

I will check on the wide tool it may be spoken for over PM.

I was thinking $200 for the pop tester, they tend to reach $250 on ebay for "untested" ones found in someones garage.

Wide tool is available as well as infinite shims - just let me know what is needed.

CarlosA,  I got good use out of the shim pliers and the compressor this weekend.  Got the head all set up with proper tolerances but still can't get the correct pressure on #3 and now #4.  HG time I think.

Thanks for the great service and shipping.  My wife was wondering what the heck that package was when it came.  When I unwrapped them she was still
wondering what the heck was in the package.  She says the pliers look very specific.  Yeah, I won't be using them for many other things that is for sure.

Nice to have the right stuff to reduce take apart times.

Yep they really are very specific tools - glad you got them safely. HG does sound about right if the valves are fully closing. Have fun with that - its a pretty easy job as long as you don`t find that you need new rings - also an easy job as long as you don't find that you need to rebore. lol

None of the jobs are hard to do or beyond my ability.  Going to try a few other things with the head but already have a Plan B in the mail thanks to this forum.  For the re-bore I think it only takes a small plastic bottle, some emery cloth and oil.   LOL.  Remember that outcry?
