WTB: D24T from Volvo or VW

Looking for a 2.4 turbo diesel from a Volvo or VW.  (Not likely to find the VW version on this side of the pond.)  I would consider taking a complete parts car if the price is right.  Mainly looking for spare IP for my LT to play with, but wouldn't mind having a spare longblock.

Shoot some eye candy of your engine.  It'll increase the hits on your ad plus provide entertain for us looking.

I've got a couple buddies heavy into Volvos.  I'll ask them this week whether or not they know of anything kicking about.

Tyler - the only pump I can find on kijiji is a 4 cyl one.   Do you have a link?  I've checked every province on the weekend.

I did find a complete motor locally.  195K from a 760TD.  It is complete and apparently ran well for $750.  A bit more than I was hoping for, but it is pretty rare to find.

$750 for a complete runner and local.  Isn't out of line IMHO.

The bonus part is - the Volvo engine is rated for 10hp and 22ft-lbs more than the VW version!   I can't imagine the longblock is any different, likely all in the pump and injections.  I think the LT has 155bar injectors.

If it's like the diesel Vanagon, they just govern the LT motor 250 RPM lower.
Also some LT intake manifolds may be a little different, but not 10 HP worth.

I have everything but the long block-turbo, pumps, manifolds, mounts, brackets, starter, manual trans, I can get it to Toronto in mid December let me know if this interests you.

I would be interested!  I have not researched if the Volvo tranny shares anything or not.  (Likely not)  Can never have enough spares for an odd ball like this.  PM a price.  I may not be interested in the tranny or mounts as I don't think they are any good to me.  Mainly the pump I am after.
