Fatmobile: If you can arrange a group buy from your supplier I might be interested, I'm looking for .5mm (2nd) overs.

I checked with him again today and they aren't in yet.
As soon as they get in, I'll order mine, take a picture of them and post it in the for sale/wanted fora. i'll link to it from here.
Have $208 ready to send and I'll put them in a USPS $8.10 flat rate box as soon as I get the money.
The tricky part on a group buy is; I don't know when he will get them in and I'm not sure how long he will hold a bunch of them for us.
Hard for someone to say for sure they want a set if they don't know when they are coming in and it's hard for me to let him know how many we want if we don't arrange it ahead of time.
...sooo if we knew for sure they would be here within the next 2 weeks,
How many people would want a set and what size would you want?

I won't hold you to it, you can back out before they get here, I just need a general number to tell him before I ask if he can hold them for awhile.
I think we can put this together in a week from the time he gets them. You should be able to send me some money or let me know it's on the way and I should be able to have them in my hands, ready to ship before the week is up.
For the slow folks, we can try the same thing the next week, if there are enough left.
I suppose interested parties should email me at [email protected] so we can get the ball rolling as soon as they get here. I prefer postal money orders but my sister has paypal so we can go that route.

Are you lot struggling to find pistons then?
Im fairly sure I can get standard 1.6TD pistons.
I'll ask tomorrow, if I remember!
Sure I've had some Mahle ones recently for something.

I'm on it.
The only thing that bothers me about being in the middle on this one is not knowing when they are coming in.
I hope they come in soon or you are not in a hurry.
Anyone interested should send an email to vwfatmobile at yahoo.
That way I can have everyone's contact info in one place.

Sorry for the delay Fatmobile, I have been pulling 12s at work for the last few weeks. So, to anwser the 81.00 mm ? yes they are going in a PG block that I am piecing together to build my Frankenengine. If I could find ( I am not even sure if it is made), 4th over tdi pistons I think I can pull this off.  On a different note I am still interested in 1st over for a 1.6td.   Thanks, Dieseltim :)

I wondered why Andrew sent that email, ha.
It's true I need to hold onto enough money to cover the COD to my place. This is money I could be using to buy a project car I'm looking at ... and some LEDs for my light toys.
The pistons are in the country and should be in his shop Monday, though I don't have a list of what oversizes he ordered. I'm hoping he didn't order any standard size sets.
I didn't want to be holding onto everyones money, not knowing when they are getting here. It is a little uncomfortable being in the middle of this group buy but it should all work itself out next week and everything will be back to normal.
Since this is so close to done, if any of you involved with this group buy want to send a postal money order now, that would be great. I'll send you a picture of them when they get here and if for some reason you don't want them, I'll send your money back. If you want to wait until they are in and you have a picture of them that's cool too.
I was thinking I'd ship them in a USPS $8.10 straight rate box so the shipping would be set ... I forgot about having to pay for a tracking number when using USPS so the shipping will be closer to $10. Making the total $210 a set.
It's hard to sell something that isn't in my hand but I needed some TD pistons and this seemed like a good deal so I thought I'd let you in on it. I will be happy when this deal is done though.
Good deals usually cost in other ways. Getting your car fixed cheap usually means you have to wait a little longer to get it done.
All the available sets have been spoken for. Thanks to everyone for being patient.
